Code the Dream Tandem Apprenticeship
A 6–12 month, Department of Labor–registered tandem apprenticeship that connects vetted junior developers—graduated from CTD’s free Code School—with partner companies (like Cisco and SAS). Apprentices remain CTD employees while working full-time on real-world projects under joint mentorship from CTD senior devs and host-company teams. This plug-and-play model builds diverse tech pipelines and delivers immediate, production-ready results, with many apprentices hired full-time upon completion.

CyberUp’s 12-month, paid apprenticeship program connects Security+-certified talent with employers for hands-on cybersecurity experience. DeVry University offers undergraduate and graduate programs onsite and online. DeVry is developing a registered apprenticeship in at least five states with plans to go national in the next two years.

Learning Alliance Corporation (LAC) in Tampa, Florida sponsors Registered Apprenticeship Programs in IT, Telecommunications, and Renewable Energy. LAC provides employers turnkey, grant-funded solutions that blend hands-on training and classroom instruction. Programs are nationally registered, promoting diversity and helping apprentices gain high-wage, high-skill jobs while improving workforce retention and pipeline for employers.

My IT University delivers a CompTIA-approved apprenticeship for university students. Participants earn wages while pursuing Cyber Security Support Technician or Data Analyst tracks through instructor-led courses, one-on-one mentorship, and financial support.

NC TECH is a not-for-profit, membership-driven trade association and the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina. NC TECH’s mission is to foster growth and champion innovation in North Carolina’s tech sector, while providing a voice for the tech community. Opportunity Knox administers USDOL-registered apprenticeships in construction and IT. The multi-year programs combine on-the-job training with related instruction and mentorship, culminating in nationally recognized credentials.

Per Scholas offers Department of Labor–registered, earn-and-learn apprenticeship programs in cybersecurity and IT support, designed to bridge the tech skills gap and promote economic mobility. Apprentices receive hands-on training, industry-recognized certifications, and mentorship, preparing them for full-time roles with leading employers. With a proven track record of success, Per Scholas has partnered with over 850 employers nationwide to place graduates in high-demand tech positions. Their commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures that underrepresented communities have access to quality tech careers.

Pyramid CDC is a Columbus-based nonprofit focused on developing a diverse tech talent pipeline through its SMARTNet Apprenticeship Program—an Ohio-approved pre-apprenticeship and registered apprenticeship sponsor. Our mission is to bridge workforce gaps by preparing youth, adults, and seniors for sustainable careers in IT, STEM, and logistics.

RTriad Enterprises operates a Registered Apprenticeship program for Information Security Analysts and Software Developers. The program offers free pre-training, certification vouchers, paid work, and one-year access to a career community for mentorship and networking.

UYOA is a nonprofit that serves underprivileged youth. Youth have access to supportive services and training in various occupations. Apprenticeships are currently registered in Oklahoma, Illinois, California and Georgia but they are working on a national program.
