Led by the American Institutes for Research (AIR), this network includes Hire Ready multi-employer sponsors which operate as registered multi-employer sponsors operating across 30+ states.

As a U.S. Department of Labor-funded industry intermediary, AIR collaborates with employers, educators, workforce organizations, and community-based entities to increase adoption of registered apprenticeships. Through the Apprenticeships for Tech initiative, partners gain access to tools, templates, and guidance to source and grow talent, design multi-employer programs, and connect individuals to paid, mentored career pathways with industry-recognized credentials. Hire Ready Intermediaries - registered apprenticeship program sponsors work with employers to hire apprentices or train existing staff as apprentices, intermediaries administer the programs to relieve employers of that burden.

Employer Sponsor - registered apprenticeship programs operated and administered by the employer for their talent needs, launched and supported by AIR.

Developing- may be either a single employer or an intermediary working with AIR to design, build, launch and run an apprenticeship program. They are not yet registered.

Champions - these organizations partner with AIR to promote apprenticeship to their networks of employers, and work to expand apprenticeship as an effective talent development solution.

Collaborative TA - regional, state and national organizations that partner with AIR to deliver technical assistance to potential and current sponsors to build, sustain, improve and grow programs.

Pipeline - organizations that support individuals in gaining life and basic skills to prepare them to be ready for an apprenticeship program. They help programs source talent that is eager to learn and ready to work.

Training - these organizations are well positioned to partner with sponsors to provide the classroom (non-on-the-job), or related technical instruction (RTI) for programs. Trainers are may also be intermediary sponsors.

American Apprenticeships Work (AAW)

American Apprenticeships Work (AAW) is a national organization advancing careers through innovative apprenticeship programs in fields like project management and digital media. These programs combine on-the-job training, technical and business skill development, project work, and mentorship to equip participants with industry-recognized credentials.

AAW also prioritizes pre-apprenticeship programs—short-term training (1–3 months) that build job readiness, workplace safety, basic technical skills, and awareness of employee rights. These foundational programs help individuals, especially from underserved communities, prepare for registered apprenticeships and achieve long-term career and economic success.
