Back on My Feet pairs individuals experiencing homelessness with paid transitional employment and soft-skills training. The program leverages running groups to build accountability, mentorship, and pathways to permanent work.

The Black and Global Business Network acts as an intermediary to expand apprenticeship access for Black, Indigenous, and other historically underrepresented talent. The organization designs cohort-based pre-apprenticeship training, convenes employer roundtables, and delivers mentorship and placement support to foster equitable pathways into skilled technical and professional roles.

Career CNX is a Denver-based leadership consulting firm that offers a proprietary SaaS platform and coaching services to help professionals align personal and professional goals, enhancing performance and career advancement. While Career CNX does not currently offer a registered apprenticeship program, it provides resources to support career development and job placement.

CSI’s registered apprenticeships combine paid on-the-job training with flexible local instruction. Programs prepare apprentices for certification and journeyman licensing while boosting employer productivity and retention.

The Eastern Idaho Plumbers & Pipefitters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC), affiliated with UA Local 648, offers a highly respected Registered Apprenticeship Program in Pocatello, Idaho. This union-based program prepares individuals for careers in plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC through a combination of classroom instruction and paid on-the-job training.

Idaho State University (ISU) offers a range of Registered Apprenticeship Programs through its Continuing Education and Workforce Training (CEWT) division and the College of Technology. These programs combine on-the-job training (OJT) with classroom instruction, preparing students for careers in skilled trades and technical fields.

The Inland Northwest Associated General Contractors (AGC) offers a robust Registered Apprenticeship Program that serves both Washington and Idaho, including the northern counties of Idaho. This program is designed to train individuals in high-demand construction trades through a combination of on-the-job training (OJT) and classroom instruction.

Innovate + Educate partners with employers and policymakers to scale apprenticeship programs in STEM and advanced manufacturing. The organization provides program design, competency frameworks, and technical assistance aligned with regional economic priorities.

The Kootenai Technical Education Campus (KTEC) in Rathdrum, Idaho offers high school students hands-on career and technical education, including apprenticeship pathways in partnership with industry and colleges. Programs are in welding, machinery installation, and hydraulics.

North Idaho College’s Workforce Training Center runs USDOL-approved apprenticeships in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC trades. The programs pair employer-based training with 144 hours of annual classroom instruction to meet industry certification requirements.

Per Scholas offers Department of Labor–registered, earn-and-learn apprenticeship programs in cybersecurity and IT support, designed to bridge the tech skills gap and promote economic mobility. Apprentices receive hands-on training, industry-recognized certifications, and mentorship, preparing them for full-time roles with leading employers. With a proven track record of success, Per Scholas has partnered with over 850 employers nationwide to place graduates in high-demand tech positions. Their commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures that underrepresented communities have access to quality tech careers.

The Pocatello & Southeastern Idaho Sheet Metal Workers Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) offers a comprehensive, hands-on apprenticeship program for individuals pursuing careers in sheet metal work and HVAC. This program is part of SMART Local 103, serving Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.

The Shelley Adult Training Academy (SATA), located in Shelley, Idaho, offers a wide range of accelerated apprenticeship programs in skilled trades and technical fields. Operated by Porter House Inc., SATA is known for its hands-on, career-focused training that prepares students for high-demand jobs—including in the nuclear industry.
