AOT delivers paid technology apprenticeships and internships for underrepresented high-school and college students. Participants engage in hands-on software development projects, receive career coaching, and attend professional skills workshops to prepare for technology roles.

The Economic Development Department administers Job Training Albuquerque to offer no-cost, skills-based courses tailored to small businesses, resulting in over 2,600 enrollments from 320 employers, 1,225 new jobs, and $58.7 million in added earning power. In parallel, the Human Resources Department’s Employee Learning Center provides structured onboarding, leadership development, professional certification courses, one-on-one career coaching, and targeted workshops for municipal staff.

The City of Charlotte’s Apprenticeship Charlotte initiative partners with local agencies and employers to offer earn-and-learn pathways in trades, engineering, and IT. Participants earn wages while completing structured instruction and advancing through wage tiers.

Eastern Idaho Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC) is a partnership between IBEW Local 449 and the Idaho Chapter of NECA. It’s based in Pocatello, Idaho, and is dedicated to training highly skilled union electricians for the region’s diverse and demanding electrical industry through apprenticeships.

The Eastern Idaho Plumbers & Pipefitters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC), affiliated with UA Local 648, offers a highly respected Registered Apprenticeship Program in Pocatello, Idaho. This union-based program prepares individuals for careers in plumbing, pipefitting, and HVAC through a combination of classroom instruction and paid on-the-job training.

Harrison Consultants partners with employers and training providers to design and implement custom apprenticeship solutions across technology, manufacturing, and professional services. The firm manages DOL registration, competency-based curriculum development, and progress monitoring, enabling organizations to upskill employees without student debt and achieve measurable retention gains.

Idaho State University (ISU) offers a range of Registered Apprenticeship Programs through its Continuing Education and Workforce Training (CEWT) division and the College of Technology. These programs combine on-the-job training (OJT) with classroom instruction, preparing students for careers in skilled trades and technical fields.

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) offers a structured Transportation Technician Apprentice Program designed to train individuals in highway maintenance and engineering.

Industrial Builders, Inc., is a heavy highway contractor that works in a wide range of construction industries from building dams and bridges to sprawling earthwork grading jobs. The company offers apprenticeship programs in a variety of skilled trades occupations.

The Inland Northwest Associated General Contractors (AGC) offers a robust Registered Apprenticeship Program that serves both Washington and Idaho, including the northern counties of Idaho. This program is designed to train individuals in high-demand construction trades through a combination of on-the-job training (OJT) and classroom instruction.

Ironworkers Local 732, based in Pocatello, Idaho, is a proud chapter of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Ironworkers. The union includes 400 skilled craftsmen with offerings of multi-year apprenticeship programs at their Idaho Training center. Most RAPs are three years in length.
