The Economic Development Department administers Job Training Albuquerque to offer no-cost, skills-based courses tailored to small businesses, resulting in over 2,600 enrollments from 320 employers, 1,225 new jobs, and $58.7 million in added earning power. In parallel, the Human Resources Department’s Employee Learning Center provides structured onboarding, leadership development, professional certification courses, one-on-one career coaching, and targeted workshops for municipal staff.

The City of Charlotte’s Apprenticeship Charlotte initiative partners with local agencies and employers to offer earn-and-learn pathways in trades, engineering, and IT. Participants earn wages while completing structured instruction and advancing through wage tiers.

The City of Madison offers a youth apprenticeship program through their FLEET division for high school students to work with and be mentored by city fleet technicians.

The City of Riverside's Human Resources team offers a youth apprenticeship program in partnership with the LAUNCH apprenticeship network intermediary.

In partnership with the City Offices of Personnel and the St. Louis Agency on Training and Employment, St. Louis is exploring apprenticeship to meet critical municipal workforce needs and strengthen partnerships with education and community-based organizations. The city’s disaster recovery efforts from the May 2025 tornado have emphasized the need to develop a strong talent pipeline for skilled trade workers. City Lab Professional's program is for youth apprentices however they can also serve adults.

CompTIA serves as a National Program Sponsor for technology apprenticeships by providing curriculum development, certification pathways such as A+, Network+, and Security+, and program management support to employers across IT, cybersecurity, and networking.

DeVry University offers undergraduate and graduate programs onsite and online. DeVry is developing a registered apprenticeship in at least five states with plans to go national in the next two years.

Harrison Consultants partners with employers and training providers to design and implement custom apprenticeship solutions across technology, manufacturing, and professional services. The firm manages DOL registration, competency-based curriculum development, and progress monitoring, enabling organizations to upskill employees without student debt and achieve measurable retention gains.

Learning Alliance Corporation (LAC) in Tampa, Florida sponsors Registered Apprenticeship Programs in IT, Telecommunications, and Renewable Energy. LAC provides employers turnkey, grant-funded solutions that blend hands-on training and classroom instruction. Programs are nationally registered, promoting diversity and helping apprentices gain high-wage, high-skill jobs while improving workforce retention and pipeline for employers.

Learning How 2 Live, a nonprofit organization based in Boise, Idaho, offers a Registered Apprenticeship Program designed to support justice-involved youth and adults reentering the workforce. Their mission is to provide workforce readiness training, mentorship, and employment pathways to underserved populations.
