While Career CNX does not currently offer a registered apprenticeship program, it provides resources to support career development and job placement.

Project Hire‑Ed places apprentices with local employers and supports college coursework for stackable certificates. Participants earn a paycheck, graduate debt‑free, and obtain industry‑aligned credentials.

CompTIA serves as a National Program Sponsor for technology apprenticeships by providing curriculum development, certification pathways such as A+, Network+, and Security+, and program management support to employers across IT, cybersecurity, and networking.

Craft Education is a leading education technology company that specializes in facilitating apprenticeship programs through its innovative platform, Craft Connect. The platform enables employers, educational institutions, and workforce development organizations to manage and scale work-based learning initiatives efficiently. Craft Connect streamlines the administration of Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs), automates compliance reporting, and integrates on-the-job training with academic coursework, allowing apprentices to earn college credit for their work experience. By leveraging data-driven insights, Craft Education supports the development of job-ready talent and helps bridge the skills gap across various industries.
In September 2024, Craft Education was acquired by Western Governors University (WGU), a nonprofit institution focused on transforming education to better serve untapped talent and meet employer needs. This acquisition accelerates WGU's efforts to expand apprenticeship and other embedded job programs, providing a comprehensive solution that combines degree offerings with work-based learning pathways. The integration of Craft Education's platform enhances WGU's ability to support employers and learners in developing skills that are directly aligned with workforce demands.

The Chamber’s Talent, Workforce & Education initiative, including Talent Pipeline Management and ASPIRE Capital Region, equips municipalities and employers to implement registered apprenticeship pathways. It provides tools, templates, and community collaboratives to streamline program development and employer engagement.

Innovate + Educate partners with employers and policymakers to scale apprenticeship programs in STEM and advanced manufacturing. The organization provides program design, competency frameworks, and technical assistance aligned with regional economic priorities.

National Able Network serves as a workforce intermediary by developing registered apprenticeships in IT, healthcare, and logistics. The organization manages recruitment, curriculum delivery, and retention services to help employers build diverse, pipeline-ready talent.

NC TECH is a not-for-profit, membership-driven trade association and the primary voice of the technology industry in North Carolina. NC TECH’s mission is to foster growth and champion innovation in North Carolina’s tech sector, while providing a voice for the tech community. NC TECH’s membership includes 700 member companies, organizations and institutions employing more than 250,000 workers in North Carolina.

Norfolk State University sponsors apprenticeship tracks for education and public-service roles. Apprentices integrate paid work placements in local school districts and government agencies with university coursework, earning credit-bearing credentials and one-on-one faculty mentorship.

NuPaths delivers paid, competency-based apprenticeship training in IT and digital skills. The program combines real-world projects with mentor-led instruction, enabling employers to gain vetted, job-ready talent through a structured placement model.

Oakland Community College sponsors registered apprenticeships across advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and IT. Apprentices combine paid on-the-job training with faculty-led related instruction while the college handles registration, curriculum, and credentialing support.

Opportunity@Work operates the ApprenticeshipLand clearinghouse and designs earn-and-learn models in fields such as data analytics and cloud engineering. The team assists employers with program design, recruitment, and outcomes tracking.
